JAYAPURA.tabloidpapuabaru.com,- Welcoming the 69th anniversary of GBGP Sorendiweri, Supiori Regency, Papua Province, Indonesia on October 17, 2025, the service partner of GBGP Sorendiweri, Supiori, Papua Province officially invites CRC Church Lae Morobe PNG to attend the anniversary event which will be held on October 17, 2025 in Supiori, Papua Province.
To that end, GBGP Supiori continues to coordinate the pick-up process. B. Korwa, the Foreign Affairs Coordinator for GBGP Shalom Sorendiweri, Supiori Regency, Papua Province, explained to this online media outlet on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in Jayapura that his team is conducting internal coordination regarding the pick-up of the contingent from neighboring PNG.
Initial coordination was reportedly held on Tuesday morning at approximately 7:10:25 a.m. at the RI-PNG border to pick up invited guests from the CRC Church in Lae Morobe, PNG.
The four-person delegation present were Pastor Roy, Pastor John, Pastor Betty, and Chaty Bangaibaie.
They will arrive in Supiori to celebrate the GBGP anniversary together. Their presence in Supiori will bring joy to the love of God between two churches and two countries (GBGP-CRC/IND-PNG) and a serious commitment to implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two churches, which was jointly agreed upon in Lae Morobe, PNG, on December 28, 2023.
Pastor Roy Bangaibae (CRC Church) in a short interview with one of the Papua Baru media crew, said that their presence at the GBGP Shalom Supiori Anniversary was a sign of the close relationship between people of the same faith in the noble kinship of God’s love with the great hope that these two neighboring countries will always be active and active in various work programs in spiritual activities as per the Anniversary theme “Building Faith, Hope and Love in Realizing Church Growth”. (1 Corinthians 13:13).
October 14, 2025 they will board Lion Air JT 939 from Jayapura to Biak and continue the land journey to Supiori. The estimated stay in Supiori is around 1 week so they can meet face to face with the congregation and the GBGP Supiori management so that the MoU work program can be discussed including the comparative study of Servants of God and learning Indonesian, Pisin and English between GBGP Supiori and CRC Lae so that in 2026 both programs can run according to the MoU while attending the groundbreaking of the Supiori Shalom GBGP Office Construction and the inauguration of the Indonesian, Pisin and English language center study room owned by GBGP Shalom Sorendiweri.
On this anniversary, all GBGP residents in the Supiori Islands and the surrounding Biak Islands will attend the Shalom Sorendiweri Church with an estimated attendance of 800 people. Therefore, the PAN-HUT led by Pastor Septinus Baab, S.Th. is working extra hard to prepare the anniversary and welcome guests from the CRC Lae Morobe PNG church. The presence of these invited guests has been coordinated well in advance by B.Korwa’s foreign affairs in June 2025.
With local senior Pastor Roy Bangaibae in Lae for the intended anniversary invitation, also with the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Indonesian Embassy in Port Moresby and the Indonesian Consulate in West Sepik Province, the running of this activity was supported by all components of GBGP together with the Supiori Regional Government and security forces, added that Pastor Roy and his followers felt happy and amazed for the first time to be able to set foot in Supiori Papua Indonesia all this because of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, while smiling happily.
